ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting officially opened at Furama Resort Danang

The preparatory meeting of the ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting has been officially opened at the Furama Resort Danang today, January 13 for the third ASEAN Political-Security Community Council (APCS) meeting, the ASEAN Coordination Council (ACC) meeting and the ASEAN ministerial meeting (AMM) retreat tomorrow, January 14.
Following the great success of the APEC meetings in 2006 and ABAC meetings in 2009, at the International Convention Palace, Furama Resort Danang honorly welcomes ASEAN Ministers and SOM leaders to the ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting 2010. The meeting begins a series of important ASEAN summit meetings as Vietnam plays host as 2010 Chair of ASEAN. It helps develop Vietnam’s position, hospitality and capacity to host major meetings when taking the chairmanship of the group in 2010 as well as to publicise investment, trade and tourism opportunities of Danang to ASEAN nation members. To be the largest city in Central Vietnam and gateway to the four UNESCO’s World Cultural Heritage Sites, including Hue ancient capital, Hoi An ancient town, My Son holy land and Phong Nha-Ke bang and strong development of resorts with international convention centres such as Furama Resort Danang, Danang is considered a promising and potential destination for government and corporate meeting in the future.
