Furama Resort Danang wins Golden Dragon Award for outstanding performance in 2009

Furama Resort Danang receives its second consecutive Golden Dragon Award and commits to further development in 2010.
Given the fact that tourism has been affected by both the global economic crisis and local economic difficulty, the five-star Furama Resort Danang continues to achieve outstanding success in business performance and will be presented with a Golden Dragon Award 2009 from Vietnam Economic Times and Ministry of Planning and Investment. This is the second consecutive year that Furama Resort will be presented with this accolade.The Golden Dragon Award, one of the most prestigious awards in Vietnam, is to acknowledge and honour Foreign Investment Enterprises (FIEs) conducting business in Vietnam with excellent business performance and outstanding social contributions. Furama was among 80 FIE’s in Vietnam to receive the award this year. The award ceremony held at the Hanoi Opera House on January 24th, 2010.
“The award marks a turning point for the continuous business success of Furama Resort Danang, and guests will be impressed with more improvements in the future”, said Mr. Duncan MacLean, General Manager of the resort.
According to Mr. Maclean, in 2010 Furama Resort Danang will focus on upgrading room and service quality. The resort will open an Italian restaurant, Don Cipriani’s, in March 2010 adding to the resort’s variety of restaurants with a wide range of international and pan-Asian cuisines. In addition, Furama Resort Danang will continue its development of the Furama Villas project. This project, expected to be completed late 2011, will be a luxurious complex of villas and private beach covering 11 hectares on the “Five-Star” road stretching from Furama Resort Danang to the Marble Mountains and on to Hoi An ancient town.On the same day, Furama Resort Danang was honorly presented with Top Trade Service Award of the Ministry of Industry & Trade for outstanding business performance over the past year.Furama Danang, 24 Jan, 2010.
