Danang ready for “Summer Rendezvous 2010”

Boasting having been voted one of the most six luxurious beaches in the world, Danang is preparing all of the best to welcome guests this “Summer Rendezvous 2010”.
Many exciting sport & tourism activities will be held along the beach. Music and dance performances and boat races have been organised to make Danang the most unforgettable destination for local and international holidaymakers.
The International & Central Vietnam Tourism Relay 2010 will be held for the first time in Vietnam and Southeast Asia. With participation from 80 teams it will be organised in Danang this June with three routes: Cham Museum - Han Market; Han Market - Phan Dinh Phung Street - Danang Catholic Church; and Danang Catholic Church - Cham Museum.
Media coverage for this event will be handled by journalists from a number of Southeast Asian countries. Additionally, there will be a 3-discipline contest (swimming-jogging-cycloing) for staff of 30 hotels and resorts from Danang, Hue and Hoi An, and a lifeguard competition on the beach.
In addition to new cuisine festivals and tours, new ocean and Son Tra peninsula tours will be also established for guests to enjoy a longer stay and lure more domestic and foreign guests to Danang. A professional surf club in Danang is also being considered after this summer holiday period.
