Water Sports

A full range of Water Sports will keep you busy. Stop by the Water Sport House where our experienced staff are waiting to assist or train you in the use of any of our equipment. Windsurfing, ocean kayaking, body boarding, water skiing, jet ski, wake boarding, banana boat, parasailing, surfing, kite surfing, and many other toys that make the best use of the water are all available for rental. International trainers are now on hand to extend training lessons for kite, windsurfer and surfing.

Tai Chi

While at the beach don’t miss out on our daily Tai Chi lesson or the numerous other activities that change daily throughout your visits such as yoga lessons, organized volleyball, football and badminton competitions.

Tennis & Volley ball

Located in the gardens of our west wing the tennis court is open daily from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. With artificial turf courts, racket rental and professional instructors, the court is the place to learn something new or to keep your swing or serve in shape.

Cinema & Games

Escape from the midday sun into the cool, colonial ambience of our Games Room or Library. Enjoy a game of pool, table tennis, football tennis, Play Station 3 or relax over a game of chess, backgammon or mahjong. You can choose one of 200 movies to enjoy on our 61” projection screen or check out a book from our Library.

Club 99

With dazzling gaming facilities located at the Furama Resort Danang, the Club managed by Japan’s Gaudi Finance Ltd offers an incredible array of gaming options in a sophisticated and luxurious setting. Encompassing more than 1,000 square metres, the main gaming floor is designed to match the way you want to play and have an unparalleled gaming experience. The Club also boasts a bar and lounge that allow you to luxuriate in style. With 41 poker machines, the club opens from 11:00am to 4:00am, only for expats, foreign visitors and overseas Vietnamese with Roulette, Baccarat, Sicbo, Black Jack etc. Guests can apply for membership which provides fantastic extras such as discounted or free air tickets to Danang or rooms, food, beverage and spa services at the Furama Resort. Fitness Centre

For those who like to work out on their holidays, the Fitness Centre in our Health Club is open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. With Nautilus and free weights; cardio-running, stepping, recumbent and traditional cycle, the ‘fitness buff’ has many options. But for the ‘die hard’ fitness fans, feel free to join with our “Australian Trained” Life Guards - especially trained by the Royal Life Saving Society of Australia - on their daily morning workout at 10 a.m on the beach.

Children’s Activities: Junior Kids Club and Senior Kids Club

Our Kids Club is free of charge and available daily from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. where our experienced babysitters will watch after your little ones and keep them entertained throughout the day. A babysitter can also be arranged in your room after 6:30 p.m. if you need more private time. For older children there is a playground located on the beach as well as a host of beach games for them to enjoy such as sand-castle building, kite flying etc.

Furama Cooking Class

Guests will meet up with our Vietnamese Chef at the Asian kitchen at 10:00 a.m. for an overview of ingredients that Danang people choose for their daily meals. Guests will then be given an orientation of the resort kitchen to see the chefs at work. The cooking demonstration will be in the kitchen where they can participate in the cooking process. After class, lunch will be served at Café Indochine with all the dishes you have prepared during the class. Package per person: VND682,500++ (VND788,500 net) per person (Minimum 6 persons and maximum 20 persons), including all above arrangements and mineral water during cooking demonstration and lunch. The resort also offers classes in tai chi, karate, tennis, kite-making, stone-carving, calligraphy-writing and basic Vietnamese language for guests.

Boat tour - Fishing - Snorkeling

It takes about 20 minutes by a speed boat or 40 minutes by a fishing boat from Furama Resort’s beach to Son Tra peninsula also known as Monkey Mountain. Along the stretch of pristine waterfront, you can enjoy snorkeling, fishing and swimming. Take advantage of this opportunity to explore our amazing coral reefs and visit our beautiful colored fish. This affords a unique perspective on the peninsula from the water and offers an opportunity to relax and enjoy the sun.

Tour to Linh Ung Pagoda

Built since 2004 and just completed and opened in July 2010, the pagoda is set upon 12 hectares of landscaped grounds where guests can enjoy spectacular views of mountain ranges including Marble Mountains, awe-inspiring ocean views including the Cham Islands and even the magical sparkle of Danang city lights by night. The centrepiece of this pagoda site is the extremely impressive 67-metre high Bodhisattva Kwan Yin statue (Phat Ba Quan Am), which also lays claim to being the highest statue in Vietnam. This pagoda is also home to the largest Buddhist training centre in Central Vietnam. The name, “Linh” meaning sacred and “Ung” meaning effectual, was first proposed by King Thanh Thai in 1891. The name has since been used to name three pagodas in the local area: one on Ba Na Hill, one at Marble Mountains and this one at Son Tra Peninsula. At the entrance, guests can see a photograph of a Halo which appeared around the statue’s head during construction. Many people are of the belief that the appearance of this Halo has confirmed the sacredness of the site.

Son Tra Moutain Bike Excursion & Fishing

Son Tra Peninsula was a big island with three mountain peaks (Nghe, Mo Dieu and Co Ngua). Step by step, the streams of the East Sea brought alluvium to form the mushroom-shaped Son Tra Peninsula that together with Hai Van Pass bent the sea into a bay called Non Nuoc. The Furama Resort Danang makes an ideal base for Son Tra mountain bike and fishing excursions. It is spectacular to see Son Tra Mountain, 693m in height, enjoy ocean and mountain views and luxuriantly green forests with monkeys. Start off the excursion from the resort, take in a small fishing village on the way and visit the tallest statue in Vietnam, a big Buddha statue. Photography opportunities abound throughout this entire trip even before arriving in beautiful Bai But to enjoy fishing and swimming. Truly an excursion to remember! Golf

About 5 minutes to the south of the Furama Resort Danang are located two 18-hole golf courses: Montgomerie Links Vietnam and the Danang Golf Club.
