The central city of Da Nang has overtaken HCMC and Ha Noi, Viet Nam's two biggest cities, to become the only Vietnamese candidate listed in the world's top 10 worth-living destinations for expats in 2018, according to a survey conducted by Live and Invest Overseas travel magazine.

DANANG HOTEL REAL ESTATE MARKET IS STILL GROWING WELL

CBRE Vietnam has just published a report updating the situation of Danang hotel real estate market in the first half of 2017. Accordingly, the segment of hotel, resort and villa continues to be exciting with the launch of many new projects as well as the presence of many famous brands in the world.

The report also suggested that in the second half of 2017, 3,800 more rooms will be added from 21 new hotels, which contribute to the total supply of 16,800 rooms. The average room rate is expected to increase by 40% over the same period in 2016. Regarding room rates, the report indicated that the average rate for a 4 to 5-star hotel is USD 117.6/room/night with 4-star hotels being leaders in revenue.

According to CBRE Vietnam, numerous new projects will bring a considerable growth in room supply for the hotel real estate market in this coastal city.

In order to prepare for APEC 2017, large-scaled projects such as renovating the International Convention Palace and completing the International Terminal of Danang International Airport are under their final stage to welcome the biggest event of the year.

According to the statistics of Danang Department of Tourism, there were a total number of 617 operating hotels in Danang with 24,000 rooms in the first six months of 2017.  It is expected that the segment of midscale and luxury hotels and resorts will achieve a significant growth of room supply with an increase of 30% and 27% respectively in the next 3 years.
