On October 29th 2017, The President of Vietnam Mr. Tran Dai Quang paid a visit to Furama Resort Danang and Ariyana Convention Centre – the hosting venues for major events of APEC Summit 2017.

During the visit, Mr. Tran Dai Quang has surveyed and checked actual facilities at Furama Resort and Ariyana Convention Centre.  The President has also appreciated the meticulous preparations of the Furama team to ensure the success of the APEC Summit.

In October 2017, Furama Resort Danang continued to conduct marine rescue practice and training for 40 life guards in difficult situations of drowning and other dangers in order to prepare for the APEC 2017 Summit. In addition, Furama has upgraded and purchased new equipment for rescue work. Recently, Furama rescue workers have been trained in First aid by experts from Australia to thoroughly prepare for important upcoming events.

FURAMA SOLEMNLY WELCOME PRINCESS OF THAILAND, HER ROYAL HIGHNESS MAHA CHAKRI SIRINDHORN TO THE RESORT

Furama Danang solemnly welcomed Princess of Thailand, Her Royal Highness Maha Chakri Sirindhorn to the resort during her official visit to Vietnam.

The Princess visited Vietnam via the invitation of Vietnam Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan and stayed at Furama from May 5th – 8th. The princess was born in 1955, is the third child of King Bhumibol and Queen Sirikit.

This visit will strengthen the good relationship between Vietnam and Thailand. The two-way trade volume of Vietnam and Thailand in 2014 reached $ 10.6 billion, up to more than 12% compared with the same period last year. Thailand is the 9th largest investor of Vietnam, with 370 projects and total registered capital of nearly US $ 6.7 billion.

Earlier, Furama Danang also has the honor to welcome President of the Thailand - Vietnam Friendship Association - Mr. Prachuab Chaiyasan in 2014 and Thailand Minister of Defense - Air Chief Marshal Mr. Sukumpol Suwannatat in 2013.
