GO GREEN @FABULOUS FURAMA ON AUGUST, 2016

On August 20, "Go Green @Fabulous Furama" continued their tree planting program with a ceremony for our loyal guests. The campaign not only benefits the environment, but also creates public awareness and Furama's commitment to a sustainable, eco-friendly way of life.

At the event, Dr. Lejeune, Irène and Prof. Dr. Heinrich Netz were pleased to plant their own Flamboyant trees or "Phuong Vi" in the resort's magnificent tropical garden. These beautiful trees, bearing their name tags, are impressive gifts that fulfill their heart with joy and loyal commemoration.

"We created the "Go Green @Fabulous Furama" with the hope of motivating everyone to take action in helping to protect the environment, raise awareness of climate change while, at the same time enhancing guests experience by giving them something to remember and to love every time they come back", Matthias Wiesmann, General Manager of Furama Resort Danang claimed.

Furthermore, Furama Danang is the pioneer resort to lend a helping hand in saving the wild animals, especially the rhino by signing a Save The Rhino Agreement at a conference held by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with TRAFFIC – Wildlife Trade Monitoring Network at this tropical paradise. Furama is also the first resort to cooperate with the city's authorities to save the wildlife, particularly the Vooc - the new symbol of Danang, listed as endangered in Vietnam's Red Book, and also named the 'queen or primates' - as well as the beautiful environment of Danang and the Central Coast of Vietnam.

All of these activities have led the Furama Resort of having been awarded the "2015 National Environment Award" by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment , "Green Brand Award 2014" by Economics and Forecast Magazine, and "Green resort" by ASEAN conference.
