Danang industry eyes the potential of Hong Kong market in 2018, and aim to boost further actions for a sustainable development besides its recent strong markets of China and Korea.

Statistics by the Tourism Department showed that, for the first 6 months of 2018, 7,193 Hong Kong visitors arrived to Danang and witnessed a jump from 11,046 visitors in 2016 to 14,903 visitors in 2017. It is reported to increase 35% last year.

Mr. Johnny Li, Managing Director Gateway Group Limited in Hong Kong opined: "Danang has recently emerged as an attractive destination for foreign visitors. The recent Danang tourism presentation has helped Hong Kong travel agencies gain an in-depth look into luxurious accommodation services as well as the developing MICE market in Danang."

Located along sections of Mai Hac De and Ly Nam De streets in Da Nang's Son Tra District, the Son Tra Night Market was officially opened to the public on Sunday evening. It daily operates from 6.00pm until midnight, and admission is free for all visitors.

The new night market features a total of 152 stalls selling food and drinks, souvenirs, fashionable clothes, bags, footwear, specialties, dried seafood, books, pictures and other commodities.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Chairwoman of the Son Tra District People's Committee, Mrs Tran Thi Thanh Tam, remarked that the purpose of the Son Tra Night Market was to to create a combined tourist and shopping space in the inner city, allowing visitors to comfortably shop, enjoy entertainment services and explore local cultural characteristics. This would help the city deal with the current lack of its own special tourism products.

New culinary highlights at Furama Resort Danang

This month of July, the Furama Resort Danang will launch five special culinary events, which will be introduced to their guests with a totally new Culinary Experience.

Starting from July 15th until 30th, 2014, a new Italian A La Carte menu will be introduced at the Don Cipriani's restaurant. Diners will have the chance to experience an array of truly amazing Italian dishes from Antipasti, Fried Calamari, Truffled beef tartare to homemade Gnocchi,Pasta & Risotto and succulent main courses. Of course for our pizza lovers we are offering a selection of different kinds of sexy pizza.

Also on 15th of July, an American wine of the month will be available at the Hai Van Lounge. Some exceptional wines and vintages from different regions and wineries will be available for a great wine tour of a different kind.

Another new Furama specialty will be available from July 22nd also at Hai Van Lounge: French Macarons! A novelty in Danang right here at the Furama Resort.

Many different kinds of macaroons will be presented in magnificent boxes for either enjoying them with one of our selection of afternoon teas or for taking home to share with your loved ones.

Furthermore, on July 15th - 17th, diners around the city will get a chance to enjoy some special dishes at the kiosk during the Vietnamese-Japanese cuisine festival at 30 Bach Dang Street, Danang City. For this occasion, the Furama will introduce to you the exciting culinary delicacies such as Furama's Macarons, Nitrogen Sorbet and Moon Cakes which will include some European flavors.

Last but not least, during the three consecutive days of July, 25th to 27th, a Thai Cuisine Week will be held at Café Indochine restaurant and Courtyard of the Furama Resort Danang. Thai food has become a favorite cuisine to many diners. Over 40 traditional and typical dishes will be on offer at the event. For this special occasion, The Café Indochine Restaurant will be transformed into a warm atmosphere with colorful flowers and traditional artifacts graciously accompanied by some relaxing and traditional Thai melodies with employees dressed in traditional Thai uniforms giving the event a true cultural feeling.
