The central coastal city of Danang has seen robust growth in the tourism sector, thanks to scores of festivals taking place between May and September.

Danang City recorded 1.6 million tourists over the past two months, surging by 26% year-on-year, said Tran Chi Cuong, deputy director of the Department of Tourism of Danang City. He attributed this to a series of festivals and activities, such as the Danang International Fireworks Festival and Danang-Summer Destination 2018 program.

Tet Village preparation

Furama's staff started to prepare for the annual Tet Village Market. Tet Village Market is a recreation of a typical Vietnamese village-side market during Tet time, complete with traditional regional foods, wares and entertainment.

This year, the Village will take place on 3 nights: 1st, 2nd and 3rd of Feb 2013 (December 21st, 22nd, 23rd of Lunar Calendar)

The Furama lobby and magnificent courtyard will be decorated with beautifully bloomed flowers and plants- perfectly replicating a well-tended country-side orchard.   The 'market' will be completed with straw-houses, bamboo plants, banana trees, food and entertainment stalls as well as instrumental back ground music.

Finishing the atmosphere this year, Furama staff will create a huge 3-meter tall Lantern - as a symbol of happiness for the year ahead. This will be the biggest Lantern in Central Vietnam hand-painting by the hotel's very own artist, Son and his team. These Craftsmen needed 25 days to finish this 150kg-iron-frame lantern, covered by 100 square meter of silk. All the surface is hand-painted with Peach and Apricot Blossoms.

Furama is ready to welcome their guests from around the world for the Year of the Snake.
