The central coastal city of Danang has seen robust growth in the tourism sector, thanks to scores of festivals taking place between May and September.

Danang City recorded 1.6 million tourists over the past two months, surging by 26% year-on-year, said Tran Chi Cuong, deputy director of the Department of Tourism of Danang City. He attributed this to a series of festivals and activities, such as the Danang International Fireworks Festival and Danang-Summer Destination 2018 program.

The 9th Do Re Mi will soon be broadcasted!

Furama Danang welcomed Do Re Mi casting (a singing contest for talented children) for Central Vietnam on May 28th – 29th. After the selection of talented children from 7 provinces and cities, including Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh, Danang, Vinh, Hau Giang, Nha Trang and Pleiku, the 9th Do Re Mi competition will be broadcasted nation-wide from June 18th, 2015 on VTV6. The program is expected to last for two months.

This is the second year the Furama Resort hosted this casting day for the Central Vietnam area. Nearly one hundred children and parents came and sang within the fresh atmosphere of the resort's garden.

According to Mr. Lai Bac Hai Dang, the Director of Do Re Mi, in the casting round, the program will not require a high demand, children will be judged based on voice, confidence and body expression. The qualified contestants will enter the final round which starts on June 18th, 2015.
